Menu help

Ok ladies,  I need your help because I suck at menu planning.

I am having my 1st annual open house on November 21 ( you are all invited if you'd like to travel that far).  It's come and go and there were be at least 8 different home businesses represented here at my house - one stop Christmas shopping! I am going to provide some finger foods.

Here's what I've been thinking - keep in mind, I'm not really a cook nor do I have time for it with grad school.

mini quiches
some sort of tortilla roll up
a dessert or 2 (cookies, brownies)
chips and dip?
coffee
water
hot chocolate or percolated punch if it's cold out

I don't know - I need help.  Can someone just tell me what to do so I don't have to think about it?  LOL

Re: Menu help

  • You could do meatballs in the crock pot. Just provide some toothpicks so they're super easy to eat. Or bacon wrapped water chestnuts - always a big hit! What about a veggie tray for a healthy option too?
  • Meatballs in a crockpot are a great idea.  What about cheese and crackers?  Maybe spinach dip in a bread bowl with celery and carrots. Also pigs in a blanket.

  • definitely cheese and crackers. veggies and dip?

i hope it goes well! i'm doing a holiday vendor fair this sunday and next, but luckily, not at my house, lol.

  • Definitely agree w/ cheese and crackers and veggie tray.

I love spinach and artichoke dip in a bread bowl, quick and very tasty (good idea, Vikki!).

What about just goinjg to costco or something and buying a tray of those frozen hor dheurves? They usually come with pigs in a blanket, potato puffs, beef puffs, and spanikopita.

  • I was gonna say order a tray of some egg and chix salad sandwiches.  I also agree with the veggies and dip.  Sams sells the mini cheesecake squares in the frozen section, thaw out and they are good to go!  :)
  • What about some apple cider?  To me that's like a winter/Christmas thing.
