**ZOE** re: Dubai

There is a Nestie who lives in Dubai on International Newlyweds. ?She'd be able to best answer your questions. ?

Re: **ZOE** re: Dubai

  • Oh, and her name is filleviollette
  • I also forgot to mention that I saw your post on the travel board, and decided to page you here.
  • I didn't see your post.  I looked at staying there a year ago b/c one of the airlines that I was thinking about flying to Africa does a stopover there.  I ended up not going, though.  A lot of my military friends have gone, though, and they told me it's great, that you have to go to the gold market.

It's popular b/c it has tons of money, and it has looser restrictions than the rest of the Arab world.  So, it's a big vacation spot for a lot of people in the area plus it's a fairly close vacation spot for people looking for a good beach spot who are coming from colder Europe.

  • i have a friend who just moved there for business. it's supposed to be incredible, but sensory overload-type strange. think disneyland of the middle east.

i say if you have a chance to do a stopover go for it!

  • It's a nice beach not far from Europe. ?It would take much longer for us to get to the?Caribbean.?
