Booked a Cozy Cabin for DH's bday
(I'm in a traveling mood, if you read my previous post - hehe). DH's birthday is in January (the same day as MLK Jr's bday, actually), so I always have off that Monday for the MLK holiday. I decided a few months ago that we should rent a little log cabin in the North Carolina mountains for his birthday weekend! It works out perfectly because he's off that weekend and I get a 3 day weekend!
I literally researched for HOURS AND HOURS and finally decided on Asheville (where the Biltmore Estate is). It's not too far from us so we won't waste a lot of time driving & we've never been to the Biltmore Estate together (I've been with my family but it's been YEARS) so that'll be something fun to do one day. It's mountain-y but we don't have to drive all the way through huge mountain ranges to get there. I found the perfect size cabin. It comes with a fully stocked kitchen and a complimentary breakfast basket (including Reese's for "breakfast dessert" -- YES PLEASE). It also has an outdoor hot tub (one of my requirements), bath robes, HEATED BATHROOM FLOORS, and towel warming racks!! WOO HOO! January can't get here fast enough!
