Austin Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Ive searched through the privacy section but have had no luck. Has anyone found a way to prevent people from tagging pictures?
DH's sister keeps tagging him on pictures of her grandkids etc. Its a little odd, and he doesnt want anyone thinking they are his. He has gone through and manually deleted his name on them so far, just trying to prevent it in the future.
Thanks!
Re: FB Privacy Help Please
I'm pretty sure you can't prevent anyone from tagging you, but you can limit or or block who sees that you are tagged.
To do this, go into Privacy Settings and choose "Custom." Then, in the second category down "Things Others Share" choose custom and choose either Specific People or Only Me.
I thought you had to approve pictures that others tagged of you. Like, if I tagged a picture of you then it would send you a message telling you that and you could say yes or no. I guess that's not right?
Sorry, I'm no help. That is an odd thing for her to do.
Maybe it would be easier to just ask her to stop doing that, but then again I don't know her.
Otherwise, go to the privacy settings for "Photos and Videos I am tagged in". Use the drop-down to create a custom setting, and click "Only Me". That way only he sees the pictures he is tagged in, and the others don't publish to his feed. I don't think there is a way to prevent people from tagging him.
