Had a wonderful date

New guy probably does not have meningitis, the doctor didn't have much of an answer for him, but it's almost gone now so no worries there. We went out to dinner as usual, and then went up to a house party which was pretty cool. He wasn't feelin too hot and I was tired from going snowboarding that morning so we only stayed a couple hours, then we went back to his house and went to bed! And I was very un-hor-ish. Sorry to dissapoint! This morning we actually woke up before noon and went out to breakfast, haha we were classy and had mimosas. then we went back to sleep until he had to get up and go to work hahaha.

  • Haha yeah it's pretty much assumed that we are doing this every weekend, I'll probably see him Friday :) It's a lot cheaper for me to board the dog on Friday nights instead of Saturdays so I told him we should try to stick to Fridays, and then he offered to pay for part of her boarding if I come up on Saturdays, how precious!

  • Any reason that you can't bring Dakota with you when you go to his house?  When Adam and I first started dating, Brody was just an itty bitty puppy and would FREAK if I left him at home in his crate at night.  I mean, HOWLING all night... my neighbors complained to the apartment manager (and they absolutely had every right to).  It came down to either Adam had to stay at my place, or I would have to leave his house and go home at night.  Adam wanted to be able to stay at his place sometimes, so I started bringing Brody over to his house.  His roommate HATED Brody.  He was one of those "Dogs don't belong in the house" type of people.  His roommate was an ass so I would bring Brody over anyway just to piss him off.  I'm nice like that!

  • glad you had a nice time,  can your mom check on the dog for your once in a while while you are gone so you dont have to board all the time?  that must get expensive?

  • I don't really have any other options besides boarding, there's no one nearby to check on her and she's such a high energy dog that she would go nuts being in the kennel for too long, but I don't quite trust her to roam free for more than an hour or two at this point. and I don't have a doggy door so she wouldn't be able to let herself out or anything. I get way stressed out taking her to other people's houses because I'm always afraid she's going to pee or destroy something lol even though she hasn't peed inside in months. Plus New Guy has a lot of messy roommates so she'd find all kinds of random crap to eat off the floor lol. I've been taking her over to my new BFF's place for quick visits to see how she does and she's really good, definitely eats everything off the floor she can. He's hoping to move in the spring to where he'd just have one room mate so maybe if he does that it'd be cleaner and easier.
