"I've got a case of the MUNDAYS!"

(bonus points if you can name what hilarious movie that subject line is from)

How was everyone's weekend??

We had a mostly relaxing weekend!  We had a friend and her hubby over for dinner on Saturday night, it was her first time at our house.  I made a yummy dinner and we played games all night.  Funny story, when they left (it was 1 am, mind you) hubby discovered that one of them broke the handle on our toilet and it wouldn't flush.  HAHA Thank God it was an easy fix and didn't require a trip to Home Depot.

Yesterday, I made chili and we had a cozy day on the couch doing NOTHING.  It was divine :)   Days like that are so rare.

  • How was your chili?????

We had a great weekend.  Saturday morning, my mom called to tell us about an annual family GTG that was that afternoon/evening.  So, we did some laundry in the morning then went out to the family event.  It was great seeing my extended family again.

Sunday, we finally finished cleaning out our office/spare room and did a little other cleaning.  H's immediate family is coming over for dinner in less than 2 weeks and our apt needs a lot of work.  I also baked some cookies to send to my friend since they are going thru so much with my little niece right now.  Then we went out for "the best fried chicken in StL".  After dinner, H watched the first half of the Packers game then off to bed.

Overall, it was a great weekend...productive and lots of time with H.

  • a little office space on the brain? :)

friday night we ordered pizza and watched the "bill cosby: himself" stand-up series -- if you've never seen it you MUST...we laughed so hard my sides hurt on saturday.

saturday we went to the market and got enough food to last us for the next couple of weeks until the wedding. i had a wedding to shoot in the evening so i went and did that, then met up with a friend i hadn't seen in five years for coffee until 2am.

yesterday we went to sam's club and got all of the plateware/flatware essentials for the wedding reception. we've decided to gift wrap napkins for everyone for christmas this year because the box we purchased has 1500 napkins! and THEN i reunited with all you ladies!! it was a weekend for reuniting i suppose!!

I didn't end up making it in the crock pot because I didn't plan ahead properly - so I just made my mom's recipe in a regular old stockpot on the stove.  It came great!!!  But I def will be trying all of the ones you guys gave me throughout the winter :)  We love chili :)

  • Friday DH and I we went out to dinner then had a hot date at Ikea :) looking at the dining room set that we have agreed to purchase YAY!!!

Saturday we paint colors then I cooked all day and brought all of the food over to our new parent friends and had a nice meal with them.

Sunday we were a couple of couch potatoes. We just did thigns around the house. DH wrapped all the coins in his loose change jar and I went through old paperwork and magazines to recycle.

  • Friday:  we went to the movies and saw Due Date.  It was okay.  Got a little annoying after a while.

Satruday:  we drove out to my parents and helped my brother put some insulation in his attic.  Then I went and did a little shopping with mom.  Worked out, and went to a radio giveaway in the evening (boring!).

Sunday: we went to church and then traveled to pick up a dog we are going to be fostering (I'll start a new post on this)!

  • Hola!

The weekend was quite nice, actually! Saturday I got to spend some wonderful quality time with the Mr., mostly taking care of home related items...Sunday was just amazing! I am really tickled pink at this run of awesome weekend weather we've been having here in MD - woo hoo!!

As you all know by now - Sundays mean football, all day long - and what an excellent Sunday it was - the Pats got beat by the Browns, the Vikes won, and yes, my Ravens handled their bizness!!!

  • I've definitely had better weekends, that's for sure.

In addition to my dad having those persistent nosebleeds and going back & forth to the hospital, I also saw a mouse run across my kitchen floor on Saturday and we have 3 traps set but still no catch.  We caught one in the garage immediately with those cool white traps (where you don't have to see the carcass) so hoping this one will bite, too.  Oh yeah and the Lions blew their lead in yesterday's game against the Jets.

However Friday was a fun night.  We had a nice dinner with my cousin and her H for her birthday then went to our friend's 40th birthday party at a local bar.  We had a great time - their friends are a fun bunch of people.

  • Well as most of you know, my weekend was focused on my mom. Other than that, we spent time cleaning our house. We just could not find anything fun and exciting to do after what happened.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  • Our weekend was fun!  We both got haircuts, first time since May for me, it feels so much better now!

Highlight of the weekend: DH won my dad's football pool (his first time, which was a big deal for him, especially since we've just introduced him to football :P)

  • I love Office Space!  :P

My weekend was GREAT!  We had some friends come down to visit for the weekend, and it was so nice to see them.  Then Saturday night we had a lot of people over for DH's birthday.  It was a ton of fun.

Sunday we hung out with our house guests til early evening when they had to drive back home, and then we just relaxed some.

  • I had to buy Office Space after watching it in one of my Business classes in college! We watched the movie over 2-3 days during a business ethics class and it was awesome!

My weekend was(is) great- Sat I knitted some slipper socks for my SIL for Christmas (halfway done the 2nd one) while watching food network and then some hockey, did some laundry and some cleaning.

Sunday I made pasta salad, then went to ACMoore to keep working on my slipper socks and decided to make slipper socks for a few other ppl for Christmas so I spent $50 on yarn but it was on sale for $4.49 per skein (reg $5.99) so it was cheaper than usual. Stopped a couple other places on the way home and continued my knitting party for the rest of the day. We ate pasta salad and tuna melts on Naan for dinner-yum!

I had scheduled a day off today to burn some time off, so DH and I went to get chiropractic adjustments, had lunch w/my dad who lives closer to the chiropractor we go to, then stopped at Wegmans and marveled at the bazillion things they have! I'm making Amanda's Baja Fish Tacos tonight for dinner (see her blog for the recipe!) and can't wait to see how they are!

  • We had a pretty good weekend....

Friday, we went to dinner with a couple of friends to catch up since we hadn't seen them in a while. It was nice to go to dinner but we drove an hour to see them and the drive home was not fun we were very tierd!

Saturday, DH worked so I relaxed for the first half of the day and then finally got motivated to clean and I mean really fully clean/revamp the kitchen. It was nice to have it done and I was gald I did it after I was done.

Sunday I did nothing, caught up on DVRed shows, enjoyed my extra hour of sleep since it was day light savings time and waited for DH to get off of work,

Today was definitely a Monday! I subbed for a high school computer class and I was just not feelin it!
