XP: Best gift you have received
Every year seems to get harder and harder finding gifts for people. I'm looking for some inspiration. What is the best gift you've received or even given? TIA

I'd say one of the best I received is when DH (then just a BF) bought a remote starter for my car & installed it. I had to park outside at the time & my job started at 7:30 a.m....it was so nice to be able to melt the ice off the windows and warm the air from inside my house! The next year I moved to his house & got a spot in the garage, which was even better! (-=
As for giving... this year I want to get my brother/SIL on board with a group gift & get my parents a new oven. They've had their current one for 25 years, and it's long past its prime. I'm pretty excited about it and hope we can pull it off!
My best gift-giving advice is to listen for hints all year long... like earlier this year we were going to the many Octoberfests and DH/BIL always admire the steins on display. So, I plan to look into getting them each a stein that suits their personality (or maybe a personalized one if it's possible & not outrageously expensive).
