blah. I have to work nights tonight, tomorrow and Thursday. Yucky yucky. I don't mind it when I'm there, since it's noticably less busy than day shift (knock on wood), but still.
I'm hoping we can work it out so that I can get on Adam's insurance, I can leave my full time job (that requires nights and weekends with 12 hour shifts), and work part to full time at my current part time job (3 or 4 eight hour shifts a week, no weekends or holidays or nights) and I can go to school full time.
Adam just doesn't have the time to talk to HR right now because of his promotion and he's just busy busy all day trying to transition his work from his old position to doing his new position's work.

Re: night shift
night shift is rough. My husband is on permanent nights... he loves it, but I could never do it!!!!
Insurance is such a pain! it's the reason I'm working 2 jobs and taking classes for my master's all at once :-(
We've been having issues with insurance to. I declined my insurance after we got married and HH added me to his. Well I went to the doc in August and got a bill for it saying insurance denied the claim. HH called the insurance company and they sent us a paper to fill out to fix everything. Come to find out a week or two ago, someone at his work messed it all up and was supposed to fix it. HH is supposed to find out this week if everythign has been taken care of finally.
I hope you can quit your full time job soon!
Ugh, I know! Matt's HR person somehow screwed up my insurance right after our wedding. Thank goodness I'm a little OCD about things like that and caught the fact that I was uninsured before a month had elapsed. Grrr.
We thought everything was fine, we didn't know anything was wrong until I got a bill from my doc in September. Then we were told everything was fixed and it wasn't. HH is calling about it today as soon as he gets back to the plant. Hopefully that girl fixed it this time.
I'm with you girl, I hate working nights (and weekends) and can't wait to quit. It takes a lot out of you and gets rough.
I hope you can get out of it and into something better soon!
