seriously, i have so much more respect for writers now. of course, they are getting paid (sometimes, lol)
but honestly, i think every 5 minutes i go back and forth between quitting and trying to crank out 5k words today. my brain hurts.

Thank you for saying that. So many people glamorize the writer's life and I've been told several times how nice it must be to "not work." I write and edit for a living, and not much of one at that. I appreciate it when people realize that it is actually work. I love that NaNoWriMo gives people a taste of that, even if it's for only one month a year.
