Opinions Pls - Winter Coat/Boots
I need to get a long winter coat and some decent winter boots. I'm going to wait to say what colour I was originally planning on getting.
Also, if you have any recommendations pls let me know!

Re: Opinions Pls - Winter Coat/Boots
I got my black wool coat from Old Navy umm... yikes, SEVEN years ago, and it's still going strong. It was about $60, which I thought was highway robbery at the time (I grew up shopping at the Salvation Army), but it's still going strong. It's incredibly flattering and classic. Love it.
I kind of need a good pair of boots, myself.
I'm gonna get a down coat since I'm not use to the really cold weather here. I have an old grey wool coat. I think my mom will bring it when they come to visit. Not sure how stylish it is now (from around 2001), but it's still in really good condition. I might pick up a 'cute'/inexpensive coat (black) this week since I have nothing to wear when I dress up a little and DH is having his white coat ceremony for school this weekend. The poll is for the down/everyday coat.
I think I'm gonna start with some good basics and maybe next year I'll get something fun.
Vancouver!! I have a short casual wool coat and could basically make it through the winter in Converse.
That's what I was thinking. I had wanted brown. I have a brown thin North Face jacket I've been wearing the last week and I'm noticing that if it was black it'd go better with my things (clothes, purses, etc) and how nice it looks. I do wear a lot of brown, but black is more classic and could probably last me more seasons. I think I'm gonna go with black after all.
hahaha i didn't vote because my mother was a terrible teacher and she taught me to buy both! lol
I actually have a black leather jacket that i wear if i need to be dressy and alittle bit of a thinner peacoat that is black and white
I have a red, black and brown winter coat that i wear like everyday.
As for boots I dont have real like heavy duty boots except for fake tan Uggs. I do have tan, black and brown knee high boots, but I gather you were talking about like cold weather boots, LOL
Yeah I'm gonna get something with some decent tread on them. I expect I'll be walking to/from transit a decent amount.
