I went to WalMart on my lunch to pick up a few things. I must not have been paying attention to where I parked my car because when I left the store I could not remember where I parked. I was roaming around the parking lot looking for my car. I tried to retrace my steps ie: which direction I entered the parking lot from, remembering if I parked in a compact space or larger parking space.
Finally after a few minutes off looking like a fool pushing my shopping cart around the parking lot, I found my car. Whew, what a relief. I'm just so embarrased.

Re: I couldn't find my car!
Lol this happens to me a lot. We have a huge parking lot at work and I am usually good about it but some days I just cant find it lol.
I have never lost my car in a parking lot.
But one time about 10 years ago my mom, brother and I were shopping at Mervyn's (yes when Mervyn's was still around) and we went into the parking lot and were looking for our car for like 30 minutes, well turns out our car had been stolen. Eventhough it was so long ago I will never forget that. LOL Now if I meet my mom somewhere to go shoppping and when we get into the parking lot she can't remember where she parked I say "maybe it got stolen", she hates it. hehehe
I used to lose my car at Walmart quite frequently until I realized that the words on the outside of Walmart (Pharmacy, Photo, etc.) lined up pretty well with the aisles. So I'd just remember which word I was near.
I did have my old car stolen once and I've got to say its a very confusing/lost feeling. My brain was going on overdrive questioning myself...Didn't I come right home after work? Didn't I park there? Did I go out after work and I don't remember? Why wouldn't I remember going out? Am I really sure thats where I left my car? And then once I finally accepted it was gone and called the police, I kept looking out the window for it, like it would just randomly come home.

I take the train to work every day from a station that's a park & ride - so you park and either walk to the platform or hop on a shuttle. Same thing when you return.
I cannot tell you how many times I have not known where my car is. I hit the panic button to find it. I am not alone, I hear many other people doing the same thing.
