toddler news

Good morning everyone, this is Will here reporting live from the Day Out with Thomas.

image

At first they kept Thomas behind a fence, due to concerns that he would crush all the children.

image

But after promises that he would behave, Thomas was let out. As you can see behind me, Thomas has temporarily left the Island of Sodor to hang out in Riverside County in the middle of nowhere. There were some reports that he was looking for Aviva, but this reporter has informed Thomas that she's moved on to Nevada.

image

Passengers in Thomas stories often compliment the lovely accomodations found in his coaches, Annie and Clarabel. We had a bit of a bumpy ride and folks, let me tell you, Annie has seen better days.

image

Yup, we are definitely in the middle of nowhere. Let's send it over to Evie from Baby News to see if she's got a better view.

image

Not much better out here Will. In other news, everyone keeps calling me a boy today. What is up with that? Back to you.

image

Aside from a visit and ride with Thomas, there are other things here for toddlers, like this toddler-sized trolley car. Someone should tell that as$hole dad there that it's not nice to take things away from the next kid in line to ring the bell and give it to his kid.

image

Whatever. This red trolley is better than that stupid yellow one anyway. Now back to Evie with a report from the stroller.

image

Will, it's freaking sunny out here. A good tip to all the babies with crappy sunshades on their strollers - if you cry a lot, your dad will stand in front of you and block the sun from your eyes.

image

Thanks for the tip Evie! This train is super old. It also appears to be stuck to the ground inside a building. This reporter has taken the liberty to try to oil the tracks up to help the old engine out.

image

That's about all from Riverside County and the Day Out with Thomas.

image

One last thing: sources have confirmed that if you are an extra good boy, your parents will buy you all sorts of crap, including this giant balloon.

Re: toddler news

  • Will always has the best shoes!  But he needs to stop growing up.  Stunt his growth with some coffee, Noisy.  Gah, he is just so darn cute -- especially in the train sitting on his knees.

People wouldn't think Evie was a boy if she didn't have a lesbian hair cut.

Your new signature picture makes my heart melt into a puddle of awwww goo.

  • Cali - Will picked the shoes out himself. I offered him blue ones with red velcro straps or these, and he said, excitedly, "I need the crazy red fancy ones. Can I get them Mommy? PLEASE?" He still calls them his fancy shoes.

    image

  • You have the best kids of all the kids! So freaking cute.

I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
  • Toddler Will frolicking with the Thomas balloon makes me think back to Baby Will mesmerized by the plain blue(?) balloon many moons ago.
    image
  • Noisy, you make cute kids.  And very good reporters.
    image Mabel the Loser.
  • It looks like you guys had so much fun! Thomas was here in the summer and while I didn't take B my brother took his kids and said it was a blast.
  • I'm going to lure Will into my kidnap van with fancy shoes and balloons.

  • I can only see about half of the pictures in this post and that makes me sad.

  • Great shoes! Great reporting! Will is a special kid.

Maggie has a sudden obsession with anything Thomas, though no interest in any of his shows. Just the toys.

    image Ready to rumble.
  •  Where was this?  It looks like it's down the street from my house.

  • You have the best reporters. That looks like so much fun.

  • Excellent reporting Will!  Evie, you will get your own segment soon!

As others have mentioned, Will's shoes are excellent. He has learned early the importance of good noticeable shoes.  Bravo Will.

  • Dawg - it was in Perris, at the Orange Empire Railroad Museum.

J&J - I didn't realize it would be quite as big a deal as it was. There were thousands of people there! It was nuts. We told Will we were going to go look at trains, but didn't tell him it was Thomas, and he was so surprised and excited he could barely contain himself. "MOMMY! DADDY! It's THOMAS! Can I ride on that Thomas? I like Thomas so much! I want to go ride on that Thomas! CAN WE GO ON THOMAS NOW?!" Waiting in line for tickets was almost like torture for him, except that every now and then Thomas would drive by and he'd run to the fence and peer at him. We got him a special Thomas with the bunting and a "Day Out with Thomas" banner on it for his wood train set too. He's slept with it the past two nights.

  • Perris is 20 minutes from me.  I had no idea that was going on or I would have taken my nephew.  Looks like Will had an awesome time.

  • Great pictures made even better by top-notch reporting, NP!

Now I'm kicking myself for not taking Al when they were here...  :(
It looked like Will had so much fun!

  • Excellent reporting, Evie and Will! You make a great team.

And Noisy's siggy pic makes me all goey and fertile. Srsly I think I just ovulated from looking at that. Thank goodness for Mirena.

  • Aw crap Dawg, I thought you were a lot further west for some reason. I would have let you know so we could have tried to meet up for dinner or something.

  • Well damn. I'll have to remember that for the future. We keep talking about going to see a Lake Elsinore Storm game, we'd be right in your backyard.

Yes!  I hope his love affair with balloons continues.

    image
  • We love going to watch the Storm play.  It's actually a pretty nice stadium and it's all families and lots of kids.  We go to the 4th of July game every year and couple others in the season depending on Tony's schedule.  Just let me know and we can meet you there.
