Time Change and Pets

Anyone else's pets waking them up an hour early the last few days?  Mine don't seem to understand that it's not quite breakfast time yet.

Re: Time Change and Pets

  • Not in the morning (because he's a lazy bugger) but he's definitely been pestering me earlier in the evening.

On Sunday night, I kind of made a booboo too... I looked at the one clock that I had forgotten to change, thought it was dinner time, and took out the bag. He was so excited. Then V asked, "Are you feeding him now?" and reminded me that it was still too early. Sherlock was so disappointed when I put the bag away.

  • Not my pets, it's the kids that are all messed up. In bed (willingly) an hour early and up an hour early. I can't wait for them to get used to it.

  • The cats are sort of on a messed up schedule all the time now. I got sick of them pestering me at the same time every day, so I feed them irregularly.

The dogs are asking to be given away at this point. This last week really messed up their schedules which made for some awful behavior. I swear that animals are cute so people will look past the thoughtful accidents they leave to keep them another day.

  • I don't have any pets anymore, but am considering getting a cat.

However, Zach was wide eyed screaming in his crib this morning at 4:45 a.m.  Yeah he wanted to get up.  All I kept saying was, "Not cool Zach, not cool."

  • I have noticed Bailey is eating earlier than usual but not by much. She has a somewhat erratic eating routine though.

  • Unfortunately I can't tell if my cat being crazy is a result of us being gone for 3 nights or the time change. Though she hasn't been waking me up at 4am for love, which was a routine for a long while.
