Makeup Poll

How often do you wear makeup?  Which makeup products do you use?  What brand?  Most recent makeup purchase?

My daily routine consists of foundation, eyeliner and chapstick.  If I'm going out I will also thow on some eyeshadow, mascara and lip gloss.  I would like to use blush but I have no cheekbones and don't know how to apply it, I'm a blush virgin.

I currently use Clinique products.  I used to use Lancome but it was pretty pricey.  I use Clinique anti-aging repairware foundation, their pressed powder, and their lipgloss.  I'm pretty happy with Clinique products.  I have to buy a new foundation.  Nordstrom currently has a free gift with $25 purchase of Clinique, so perfect timing to buy a new foundation.

My recent makeup purchase is this eyeshadow from Sephora and I love it.  I love the colors and they are very light and natural.  It has the darker colors for a night time smokey eye.

Re: Makeup Poll

  • I'm far too lazy for makeup.  Most days I wear chapstick and that's it.  If DH and I are going out somewhere nice, I wear eyeshadow and mascara and very rarely a shimmery lip gloss.  I don't have the patience for foundation, eyeliner, blush, etc.

I have clinique or bare minerals eyeshadow (Both of which I've probably had for over 5 years.  That's how infrequently I wear makeup!) and Cover Girl mascara.

  • I wear makeup everyday unless I'm sitting at home the entire day with no one else, but Don around.  My typically everyday makeup is just primer, foundation, eyeliner, and mascara, which probably takes all of 2 minutes to put on, and then chapstick.  If I want to dress it up a bit I'll use blush, lipstain, and eye shadow combinations.  I have a mix of makeup from Clinique, Bare Minerals, and Revlon.

My last makeup purchase was probably for the wedding from Clinique and it was the eye shadow combo pack something with Strawberry in the name.

  • I wear make up daily unless (and not even always in this case) I'm at home. I wear the loose powder bare minerals foundation, blush, eye shadow, sometimes eye liner (most days but not all), mascara and either lip gloss or lipstick.

I've had this routine for so long now I can't break it. It just feels weird if I leave something out or don't wear it. I've always worn make up to cover up my freckles and not wearing foundation is weeeiiirrrdddd so I usually always have that on.

I use covergirl mascara and blush and eye shadow though.

  • I can NOT leave the house without makeup.

My daily routine consists of primer/concealer, mineral foundation, blush, eyeshadow and liner.  Mascara for special occasions or if I just need an extra confidence boost.  I miss wearing lipstick (or gloss), but I always had trouble finding one that didn't dry out my lips.  And I hate it when my hair sticks to my gloss.

I'm kind of cheap, so I get mineral foundation ($5, I think) and eyeliner from eyeslipsface.  I just bought some eyeshadow from them, so we'll see how that works out.  My eyeshadow is L'Oreal, blush is N.Y.C., and mascara from Cover Girl.

My recent purchase was restocking my eyeliners, foundation and trying out the eyeshadows from eyeslipsface - I buy several at a time so I only have to order every 3-4 months.

  • i wear make up pretty much everday unless I don't have work. I put on Mary Kay moisturizer and oil modifier on the T-zone and I use Mark Kay mineral powder for foundation. I just ran out so I'm going to use this tinted moisturizer from this doctor that my mom bought it from. Then I use Lacome translucent finish and top it off with Body Works bronzer. I also use Bare Minerals blush in the color Glee. I use black fluidliner by Mac for eyeliner and Mary Kay waterproof mascara. That's my everyday.

Going out I'll prime my eyes with Mary Kay primer and use Mac eyeshadows. I love love love Mac. Their colors are bold so they can show up on my skin and they go on nicely. It usually takes me 45-60 mins to do my make up when I go out cause I do a smokey look and it takes awhile to blend.

My last make up purchase was lip liner, and two lip glosses by Chanel for my wedding day.

  • work day: Benifit Boing eye concealer, pencil Ulta eye liner, Bare Minerals mascara, maybe blush if i'm alittle pale that day. casual dinner: the above, and Benifit Hello Flawless foundation powder. event or nice dinner: the above, with clinique or studio gear liquid foundation.

Always always have lip gloss on, Urban Decay mostly.

  • i wear it every day unless i don't leave the house. i'm VERY pale and get kind of blotchy. i had pretty bad skin in high school, so i'm just so used to wearing it by now that not doing so seems really foreign.

i used to be a clinique devotee, especially in high school. it was the only line that didn't make my skin worse. i still have pretty sensitive skin, but it's not crazy oily anymore, so it's a little easier to find products that work.

i use a mix of drugstore brands, including neutrogena foundation and physician's formual mineral wear powder and blush.

it's hard to say for sure, you look like you have more dominant "apples" on your cheeks, rather than the back by the ears cheek bones. i have that too and wear my blush more on those, and across my nose a little, so it looks like i got a wee bit sunburnt. that looks most natural for me, but YMMV.

the key to blush is to pick the color that looks most like your natural flush/barely sunburnt and to start light. just put on a little and see how it looks. you can always add more, but it's hard to take it off without taking off ALL of your makeup.

  • I don't wear makeup much at all. I wear mascara and a dusting of blush everyday.

If I do wear makeup, I wear bare minerals foundation, blush, eyeshadow, etc.

  • Foundation, pressed powder, bronzer, eyeliner, mascara and chapstick or gloss everyday. Even if we just go to the grocery store and then sit home. I've been doing it for 6 years. Can't break habit.
  • I never wore makeup unless I was going somewhere special.

Since I've been coming into the city to see this client, I've been wearing a tiny bit of concealer if I have a pimple, loose Bare Minerals powder, eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss everyday.   I kinda like it, but I'm glad that I waited till I got older before I started wearing makeup everyday.

This look is more polished, but I think the bare face look is more fresh.

oh, and I swear by the Clinique moisturizers

  • I am a lazy makeup mofo. Most days I wear lipgloss and mascara if I'm lucky. I use a tip I learned from my MUA: use a volume mascara and then a lengthening one.

If I'm going out on the town or for a special occasion I add in eyeliner, eyeshadow, bronzer. Very rarely foundation.

My friend travels a lot in Europe and also works for the FDA and knows some people who work in the cosmetic plants...Lancome and Maybelline are basically the same exact products, only they charge way more for Lancome over here. In France it's a drugstore brand. Ain't that the shiz? I love Lancome Definicil mascara.

I really love looking at and buying makeup. I just don't take the time to use it daily.

When I do use various products, these are my brands:

Lip liner: MAC or Revlon Colorstay

    Lipstick: MAC

Lip gloss: Blistex lip medix for the win, but a fancy one I use MAC

    eyeshadow: clinique, Sephora, or Revlon

    bronzer: Sephora

    Blush: NARS

    eyeliner: clinique or cover girl

foundation: I don't think I even have any at this point. I always use a drugstore brand b/c of the infrequent use
