MPC (again) hinting at bringing Wright back into the fray...
No link yet...Just saw Dana Bash reporting about it on CNN a few minutes ago.

Rational me does wonder what the point is right now...and why keep saying you're thinking about doing it. Just friggin do it if you're going to. It almost seems like a veiled threat now. You keep saying you're going to do it, but you don't. Then you say maybe. Just make a damn decision one way or the other!
Plus, wouldn't the Wright stuff most incite/bother the people that are already IN the McCain campaign? I just have a feeling it would turn off independent voters or undecideds who are going to say, "Didn't we talk about this back in the spring? When the economy wasn't in TOTAL ruin?"
And can't the MPC campaign already see the Obama ad using McCain's words against him? (ie, when he said that kind of stuff has no place in politics)
I'm just fascinated by MPC playing the "Will We or Won't We" game...I'm trying to figure out the strategy...

I just don't understand how they think bringing him up will help. Unless you lived on Mars, in a cave, with your eyes shut and your fingers in your ears you've seen the "god*amn america" bit, you've heard about how Wright is a racist. If it hasn't affected your vote by now, it certainly won't in 15 days.
It's not like I'm going to wake up on 04Nov08 and say to myself "Gee, that guy sure is a wack job. I'd best vote for Ralph Nader."
Well, first off, no. Lewis did not call the entirety of the MPC or supporters racist. Second, remind me again how that relates to Wright?
The fact that McCain has been on record, numerous times, stating that he thinks this has no place in politics, means this would be a losing strategy.

This is a small example of the overall problem the MPC has had throughout the entire general campaign. There seems to be no focus, no organized plan of attack, no consistency of message. They veer from one issue to the next, seemingly with abandon.
I find this shocking given that until 2008, the Republicans have been paragons of message discipline. The MPC is going to join Kerry/Edwards 2004 as a case study in how not to run a Presidential campaign.
