  Taking it as soon as you realize is good! I used to be an irresponsible BC taker (until I switched to Seasonal - period once every three months - a couple months ago and now if I am even a couple hours late I start to spot, so I am much better at remembering!). I'd use back up for a few days, but you're probably fine!

  You will be fine. I miss my pill all the time as long as you got it in a 24hour period you should be fine.

  With my pills, you can technically miss two days... Say you miss Sunday and Monday... On Tuesday, you take Sun and Mon's pill and then on Wednesday, you take Tuesday and Wednesday's pills.  Continue taking as regular after that.  I have done that MANY MANY times and have yet to get knocked up....  Actually, that's what I'm doing tonight because once again, like a dumbass, I forgot to pick up my pills at CVS.  BUUUUUT, I don't think it's the same way with EVERY single type of BC, so read the instructions that came with your pills.

  ETA: And I've never EVER had spotting before.... even with missing a couple of days.

  I think each pill has slightly different guidelines for that. If you still have the information paper that comes with each month's supply, it should have a section that tells you what to do. You could also try googling for your type of pill (Yaz instructions, for instance).

  I should be fine, this is what it says

  If you miss one "active" pill, take two pills on the day that you remember. Then take one pill per day for the rest of the pack.

  This!  I am on Seasonique and have the same problem, though it is only about a 20 minute window or I will have spotting.

  Yeah you should be ok. I missed one the other night too. By the time I realized I was already in bed and too tired to go back to the bathroom. Just take it as soon as you remember and the other at your normal time. You could use a backup method for a week, but you'll probably be fine without it (don't come to me if you get KTFU!).
