My Hubby accidently put my fish oil vit. in the dryer. :(

So... My hubby, accidently ... somehow got a fishoil vitamin in our dryer, and now our dryer smells like Fish! Not only that... the dryer is making my clothes smell like fish! It is gross... any suggestions on how to clean out the dryer? I think it is like all in the pipeing and what not. Yuck!

Re: My Hubby accidently put my fish oil vit. in the dryer. :(

  • Um... ew. That has got to be disgusting.

You'll probably have to get someone out there to clean out the vent. I think that is relatively inexpensive and it should be done periodically anyway. Metal doesn't absorb smells, so if it's trapped in the vent it's because the smell has absorbed into the lint that is stuck in the pipe.

So, get your vent cleaned out, wipe down the interior of the dryer with vinegar and water and leave the dryer open for a few days.

    Yuck!

  • Thanks, I do think there is lint in there. I am going to get the vacuum out... and some organic cleaner. I put a load of fabric softner sheets in there. and I think the smell is mostly gone :) .... It was totally freaking me out!
