? about BG, Weston & Grand Rapids Housing
My cousin is looking to rent in one of those areas. She needs a 3 bdrm and for not a whole heck of a lot of money. Anyone have suggetions on places or even in what papers she could look in? She has looked on craigslist, but said there are not too many listings on there. TIA.
Re: ? about BG, Weston & Grand Rapids Housing
When I lived in BG I used Fite Rental Management. They were on South Main street. They only owned houses. I was in a two bedroom house and it was pretty nice. This was several years ago but if she's looking for a house she might want to look and see if they were still in business.
I know a fmr co-worker of mine rented a house/apt out by the golf course and another by the high school off Poe. The farther away from the university the better.
I love grand rapids but I don't know anything about the places around there. She should drive a round adn look for for rent signs.
I agree with the above post about renting in BG being mostly for fall already. BG is where I teach. I think your best bet is to contact realty business and look for rentals that way. You will probably get a more "refined list" from them. You definately want a place away from the university, not so much for college life but for quality of living. You will get nicer places the farther away from the university you get. Where BGSU is not bad, don't get me wrong. I would feel completely safe even at night walking the neighborhoods. It's just that it is also the "older" part of town so all the houses are very close to each other and older, and not necessarily taken care of very well.
