Stores with Hawaii-friendly Shipping Policies

I know a lot of folks don't actually live in Hawaii, but I thought it might be useful to put together a list of online stores that have Hawaii-friendly shipping policies.  It really bums me out when a site advertises free shipping and then the small print excludes Hawaii....or when I find a really good deal and then find out shipping is $24.  Let me know if you have any stores to add to the list!

Amazon (Super Saver Shipping) - Free shipping on orders of $25 or more on qualifying items.  Note: NOT eligible for Amazon Prime free 2-day shipping or Amazon Marketplace

Nordstrom - shipping to Hawaii same as mainland; if you order from the physical store, free shipping to your home

Macys - shipping to Hawaii same as mainland

Re: Stores with Hawaii-friendly Shipping Policies

  • ooh! good idea jamie! I was just fuming about that - my brother gave us a giftcard last Christmas to Crate & Barrel which we still haven't used. I noticed they were doing free shipping for orders over $100, but of course not to Hawai'i. Thanks a lot!

I will keep this topic in mind, i'll probably be doing some online shopping in the next few days!

  • Good idea to share the list. I forget that shipping to Hawaii can get pricey.

Funny, unrelated story. My brother lives in New Zealand. He told my mom that all he wanted was a cheap old box of graham crackers. She mailed them... then, complained that it was $24 to send a few $s worth of graham crackers. She calls me a couple of weeks later to tell me that they never arrived. I asked if she insured them. In her 76 year old lady voice, she declares, "NO! Why would I insure graham crackers?" Um, in case they don't get there. I said, "Hopefully, they will show up. The good news is that you didn't make something homemade. They're probably good for 2 years."

I think they got there 3 months later.
