The other day someone mentioned having an opposite work schedule of their husband which is exactly what my husband and I have. He came home from work this morning to tell me they are working Friday night which is normally the only day we both have off. He had already taken off Thursday night so we could go out to dinner with a couple friends but now he wants to go in at 1:30 in the morning if we aren't back in time for him to go in at 9:30.
I'm trying to look at the positive side; his paychecks are larger and we do get to have dinner together Thursday night. Thursday night will be our only time together all week/weekend. Plus with Thanksgiving coming up and out of town guests staying at our house we were going to spend Friday cleaning but now he will have to sleep. It kind of sucks never getting to see your husband.
Sorry, for the long vent... I just needed to get it out!

I totally empathize with you. My husband was working Wednesday through Sunday for 8.5 months which left me solo on the weekend days. So he missed out on graduation parties over the summer and having our wedding on a weekend day. However, now since his working hours are Monday through Friday for the most part, we have weekends together again and I'm thrilled.
Hopefully it's just a temporary situation for you guys but soak it in when the two of you get your alone time.

Yup, totally understand. Richard just started his new shift on Monday. He's already working OT and hasn't been getting home until 2:30 am. It's a bummer but he's making more money and we have our weekends together. Plus now I have my baking blog to keep me busy!
Just remember, that we will get through it!
