We just got back from 4 days in Tromso, Norway, where we went in search of the Northern Lights. We knew there was the possibility that we wouldn't get to see them, but we lucked out and saw a fantastic show. Our first night there was an absolutely clear sky and we weren't disappointed:

We got a meteorite going through this shot:

The next night we went dogsledding, which was so much fun! I was driving the sled, while DH was sitting in the sled (he didn't want to drive). Unfortunately it's difficult to get a good pic of the dogs in action, given the snow and the dark and the speed. But here they are before and with me after. Each sled was led by five dogs, although you can't see them all.

Overall we had a great time. Tromso is such a cute and picturesque town and it was DH's birthday yesterday, so I treated him to breakfast in bed and then a mini spa day before we headed to the airport.

I finally got my phone to load this page and wow, I'm glad I was persistent.
Those pictures are amazing!!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Those are amazing shots! I am in awe! We will occasionally see the northern lights here but it's nothing like those photos.
Your trip sounds like it was a blast!
