Crazy!

Co-worker just found out yesterday that she is pregnant. Kicker is that she is 20 weeks along. She had an u/s yesterday and baby is a girl.

Re: Crazy!

  • Wow! I guess it really happens. What finally made her realize?
  • She says that finally realized that it had been a super long time since her last period. I guess she normally has super wonky cycles anyway. She had chaulked it up to being stressed, some bad family issues going on and not knowing if she had a job. She filled in for me while I was gone and they just hired her on to stay.

  • Wow! How crazy is that?!  Is she excited or totally freaked out?
Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
  • She is a little freaked because dr's said she would never be able to have kids. Also, her bf is possibly 15+ years her senior. I want to say he is probably in his late 40's or early 50's.

  • That is so odd to me, but at 20 weeks I guess it's understandable how someone could not know.  I don't get people who pop out a kid and are like, "WTF?!  I didn't even know I was pregnant."  I met someone this summer who didn't know she was pregnant until she started having seizures.  She had full blown eclampsia and delivered her son at 32 weeks or so.  He was five pounds at that point and just fine.  I am amazed that both of them lived through that and equally amazed that she didn't have a clue she was pregnant.
  • I think your title says it all. Crazy. I don't know what I would do with that info. Besides fall off the exam table maybe. :p

This is exactly what happened to my cousin when she was 16.  And her parents were so ashamed no one knew about it until the baby was 2. (eye rolls)
