Glee??!?!??!?!? *spoilers*

Wow.  Just wow.  That was an awesome episode!!!  They tackled some tough subjects tonight!

Good for Kurt for standing up for himself.

I thought I would hate the moment that Will kissed the coach but I actually really liked that it happened.

And yum yum to Kurt's crush!!

Good job Glee - let's keep this up and knock it off with the episodes full of songs and nothing else.  We need some substance with the cheese!

I agree, I think last night's episode was one of the best yet!  LOVE the Teenage Romance cover...amazing!

I agree about the kiss....I was glad it happen, but I have to admit, it made me a little uncomfortable.

    Man, I love that show!

  • I loved the entire episode except the Will/Coach kiss.  It actually kind of pissed me off.  This poor woman waits her whole life to be kissed and she gets a pity kiss from Will?  Horrible.  Will sucks.  Even their attempts to make him more likable make me want to punch him.

I  loved, loved, loved Kurt's scenes though!  Watching him smile (instead of smirk) at his crush singing made me ridiculously happy.

And I loved that Puck was back, although his comment to the coach (you're really pretty when you smile) was out of character and too saccharine for me.

Basically the whole Coach story line really bothered me.  They made her out to be weak (quitting over teenagers making fun of you?) and shallow (needing to be told she is pretty despite being a talented coach?)  I wish they would have made her stronger and instead of saying "oh you are so pretty" they made her other qualities more of a focus and had her find validation on something other than a bunch of morons telling her she is pretty.  For me it would have been a better message.  Like "hey, you are a super talented, warm caring person and your self worth should not be defined by what a bunch of pretty boys think about you."

    End rant.

  • This was my favorite episode by FAR! I loved all the Kurt scene's too and hope that his crush sticks around so he stays happy. And teenage dream was awesome!

I can't believe the Bully kissed Kurt! I wonder if they will continue with that in the epsiodes? and if he will come out?

I think the guys singing to the coach was stupid and why would they be saying she is "so pretty" when they were clearing using her to "cool down" so obviously they are lying....I agree with PP, they could have said nice things about her without just turning to her looks, which is what they were making fun of her for before.

ITA with all of this. i couldn't  have said it better melinda. the will/beist kiss was dumb. some tender words to her would have been enough to get through the moment. then down the line they could weave a love interest in for her. predictable and lame. and yes, will is probably my least favorite character followed closely by rachel.

That was definitely NOT what I was expecting to happen!!  It was an interesting place to take that story line.  I wonder how often that happens in real life where the bully is actually just like the people s/he is bullying?  And what must Kurt feel like NOW getting shoved in lockers when he knows the whole story?  Hmmm.  I'm curious to see where they go with all of this.

So many new story avenues opened up in just one episode!!

Jane Lynch spilled the beans in an interview that Coach Sue is getting married in the next 4-5 episodes!  WHOAH.

  • I agree with Melinda and Strength on the Shue/Coach kiss. I didn't think the pity kiss was the way to go. That said, I thought this was on of the best episodes of Glee so far this season. I feel like they went back to their roots--more storyline with songs worked in than the other way around, and I like that much more than the theme episodes. I also think they did a good job of dealing with some big issues (bullying, feeling lonely, etc.) in this episode.

I agree, I hate when they do theme episodes...the story line goes nowhere and it's annoying!  I think next week with Gweneth Paltrow is going to be SO good!

  • Totally agree about the Beist/Shue kiss. Totally not necessary and the pity-feeling of it all made me squirm.

Love love LOVED everything else about the episode though!

  • I also hated the Will/Beist kiss.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Kurt stood up for himself.  My only problem with this is when Kurt and his "boyfriend" confronted the bully.  I am 100% cool with confronting a bully for the physical and emotional torment, but they tried out OUT the bully, which I think was awful and counterproductive to the whole anti-bullying theme.  Attempting to out the bully was equally as bad to me as the Will/Beist kiss.

ETA:  Loved Teenage Dream!  I haven't purchased a single song from Glee, but I'm considering purchasing Teenage Dream and Kurt's version of I Wanna Hold Your Hand.

I agree on the outing thing. And to confront him in a stairwell in a public area? No. Not cool.

Kurt's version of I Wanna Hold Your Hand makes me cry every.single.time.

  • I've been singing Teenage Dream ALL DAY!!!!  I loved it sooo soo sooo much - I keep playing the YouTube video.  And I don't even like Katy Perry.

  • I was SO SO SO proud of this episode!  Way to tackle some really great issues!
  • Finally was able to watch my recording of it, OMG I loved it! Kurt is amazing, I kept on wanting to beat that "nethanderal" up for him!

I agree with you 100% WOW!!!!

I agree.  I'm not sure what they were hoping to accomplish?  I doubt the Bully would break down and start making out with Kurt right then and there.

And how sad for Kurt his first kiss was from the Bully.  :-(  They kind of had a theme of unfortunate first kisses in this episode!
