Or any comments on this subject??
Re: Cosmetic Tattoos
It's obviously a very personal choice and I don't judge you for it, but...
You don't think you'll EVER want it to look different? IDK, I'm not *that* into make up and I still like mixing things up every now and then. Plus as time passes I think the way things like that are done changes, and I wouldn't want my face to be permanently dated.
Also, tattoos hurt. Mine hurt on my back, so I can't imagine doing it to my face.
I don't know, I just think it's kind of silly. How long could it possibly take to do your make up every morning? If you're just not good at it (or just don't feel confident in your skills) wouldn't it be easier to go to a spa that offers a make up lesson with an application?
Anyway, like I said it's your call. I know Renewal MD in Maple Grove does it, but I don't have any personal experience (obviously!). GL!
I don't have any tattoo but all my friends do and I know they would recommend
Saint Sabrina's in uptown and
electric dragonland in Hopkins (this one has been rated nationally as one of the top 10 tattoo places)
Are you thinking about getting it on the top lid or the bottom? I would love to get mine done on the top because I suck at it....but there are a lot of times that I don't wear makeup, like when I'm boating, hunting, fishing, camping, etc. so would that look weird to have it on but no other eye makeup?
My grandma got her bottom lid done and the makeup place screwed up or she cried or something so 1 eyelid was perfect and the other one was really thick and looked like a raccoon eye, I would be so nervous that it would happen to me. This sounds bad but every time I saw her she looked like a mess because of it and the one eye was all I looked at.
*M&M* Super Pitbulls
I would never ever ever do the bottom lid. I suppose a thin line right at the lash line on your upper lid wouldn't be terrible.
I would NOT do this (yes that is tattooed according to the website):
But I would be okay with this:
Whatever you do, absolutely do NOT do this!!!!!!
That is awful! :-(
To the OP: I wouldn't go to any ol' tattoo parlor people rec because most likely their recs are based on "traditional" tattoos. I would find a place that specializes in cosmetic tattoos and then ask for references or to see pictures of their work.
Yeah it would need to be a medical center, that first rec in Maple Grove looked good, they do plastic surgery as well as cosmetic tattooing. That middle picture a few posts up is what I would want. Something that would look okay WITHOUT other make up as well as with other makeup. I saw it on the bottom and top and I think I would just want the top, makes it look a little more natural. I would imagine a good place will cost a pretty penny, but I'd rather pay lot and get it done perfect then have an ooops happen. That would not be good.
Kiz, those photos made me giggle a little!
Daisy, I think eyeliner is about the only thing I'd ever do permanently but it would have to be super subtle. That would certainly save a lot of time in the morning!
