May have just made a wedding planning contact...
I know a few of you are still involved in the wedding industry and I've been terribly jealous.
Well, our office relocated and in the same building as us is a ballroom dance studio that also does weddings. (Not their main purpose, just as a side thing). I toured the space today and I was quite impressed with it and could see that it had a lot of potential.
I told the owner that I was an accountant who was a want to be wedding planner and his eyes just lit up. He didn't enjoy that part of his business and thought we could strike up a deal (probably a contract/commission basis) to take over that part.
I am pumped. I'm not sure if it will happen, but we'll see. At least it was a bright spot in my day!

That's so exciting!
When we finally move back to Maine, we might need to go into business together. The Songo River Queen told me they'd hire me to make cakes for their events when I move back.
