update on mom
My mom was able to get into the Orthopedic surgeon on Monday. The break is pretty bad...lots of chipped bone, dislocation of bones, cracks..etc. She is scheduled for surgery at 7am Monday morning. I will be taking her to the hospital tomorrow for her pre-op blood work.
She is still in pain (Tuesday was a very bad day for her, but as of today it seemed a little better). The swelling has gone down causing the cast to be less tight, which could explain the extra pain.
She said that she doesn't feel right...like a bubble off or something...after asking several questions, I found out that my dad is being a major a$$ again. Telling her that she needs to do this that and the other and should not use the arm as an excuse...so that sure doesn't help the mental stand point...
Please continue to pray for her. Especially for her mental health....I think she can deal with the physical pain more than the mental pain.
The surgeon (who happened to perform my surgery and my grandmother's) said that he will have to put pins and a plate in. She will be in a cast, but will have it removed 3 days after the surgery! She will still have some pain and discomfort for several weeks afterwards, but should have full control of it within days! I so hope that is the case with her!
