When are you planning on decorating?

We are decorating early this year. Since M will be down South with my parents for awhile we are taking advantage and decorating next week. I know we sound like crazies but atleast it will be done when we come back home from Thanksgiving.

I'm going to have H get the stuff down next week and I'll decide if what I'm going to put up. Not sure if we will do the outside this year our not.

Although we should probably work on assembling the baby crap (bouncer, swing, bassinet, infant lounger) before we put up Christmas Embarrassed

I put up my tree on Sunday

I love Christmas time and wanted to be able to enjoy the decorating time with my DH for the first time. We are going out of town on Thanksgiving and through the weekend so we will not be able to decorate that weekend and I want to have a party the first week of December so it will all have to be done before then. We bought our outdoor lights on Monday (Home Depot has a great deal that you can trade in old lights, working or not, and get $3 off LED lights) and have most of them up before it gets cold but will not turn them on until a few other people have. I told my DH that I was thankful for Christmas and wanted to enjoy it to the fullest

It is our tradition to decorate the day after Thanksgiving. I would probably do it earlier if H loved Christmas decorations as much as I do, but this is our compromise. (He probably wouldn't put up any if he was single.)

I usually decorate the Sunday after Thanksgiving when we get home from my parents' but this year we're staying home. My decorations are stored at FIL's house, so I'm going to try to go get them this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll put them up before Thanksgiving or the weekend following, just depends on how much time I have before.

If it was just up to me, I'd do it the day after Thanksgiving, but DH's birthday is in early December, and he always wants to wait until after his birthday. So, I generally like to decorate some time in the first week of December.

I decorate the weekend of Thanksgiving. This year it will probably be that Friday since Bedlam is Saturday and we have Thanksgiving with my family on Sunday. Can't wait to get our tree up!!

I'm not decorating until Thanksgiving is over. Some people in my neighborhood already have their lights up, which I have no problem with since I'd rather do outdoor work while the weather is nice, but they're already turning them on at night. Take it one holiday at a time!

That being said, I'll probably decorate a few days after Thanksgiving. I'll be out of town a fair amount in December, and I want to enjoy my decor while I can.

H is going to be OOT a lot the next month so I am hoping that we can do it sometime the first week of December. Plus, I think Hanukah is the first week of December this year so we need to get the stuff out so we can light candles and whatnot.

My tree will possibly go up the evening of Thanksgiving or the next day. I try to get mine done early so I can help my mom get all of her stuff out and help her decorate.
