Friday Five

I'm probably going to suck at this since Amanda usually does it, but here goes:

  1. When you were a kid, which crayon in your box was the most worn-down?
  2. From what stores is it impossible for you to emerge empty-handed?
  3. What word do you use far too frequently?
  4. How many times do you hit the snooze button on a typical morning?
  5. Plans for the weekend?

  • You did just fine Mel!

    1. When you were a kid, which crayon in your box was the most worn-down? I was a plain ol red type girl. I had the small box of crayons : (
    2. From what stores is it impossible for you to emerge empty-handed?  Michaels. I come home all the time with something that I feel compelled to add to my scrapbook collection.
    3. What word do you use far too frequently?  Lately I have been saying Anywho. And my dad loves making fun of me for it.
    4. How many times do you hit the snooze button on a typical morning? Anytime between 3 and 5. This time of year it depends on how cold my room is when I wake up.
    5. Plans for the weekend? NOTHING! And I am so excited about it. I am going to hang out, watch TV, read True Blood, Scrapbook, Sew....whatever my heart desires doing at that point. Obviously Football on Sunday....I can feel a Cowboys win coming on!

    1. When you were a kid, which crayon in your box was the most worn-down? green and blue
    2. From what stores is it impossible for you to emerge empty-handed? Bed Bath and Beyond....and the grocery store (always get more than what I need)
    3. What word do you use far too frequently? I use the word "well" too much to start sentences. I also use "y'all" way too much...at least in the professional setting I don't write it or say it too often.
    4. How many times do you hit the snooze button on a typical morning? I typically don't, but this week I have been hitting it one, two, maybe three times....next week will probably be the same.
    5. Plans for the weekend?
Tonight: I am cleaning the guest room up incase my mom wants to stay at my house after her surgery.
Tomorrow: I am relaxing and working on some scrapbooks for people. DH and I are also going to dinner with his parents.
Sunday: The Nutcracker Market (yay for shopping!) then we are going to visit my mom so I can help her shower, etc).

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

  • When you were a kid, which crayon in your box was the most worn-down? I don't know, but if it were today it would be purple :)

From what stores is it impossible for you to emerge empty-handed? Target, or Banana Republic

What word do you use far too frequently? I say "you know" a lot. Plus, I still say "like" way more often than is befitting of my age.

How many times do you hit the snooze button on a typical morning? Ha, I would say at least 3, I set the alarm earlier than I need to get up to account for this.

Plans for the weekend? Tonight: nada, just a relaxing dinner at home. Tomorrow: we're going to do a day trip somewhere, possibly to this cute little town a little over an hour away. Sunday: DH will be at the Cowboys @ Giants so it will be chance to have my alone/girly time.

    Anniversary

  • 1. Probably purple or green. I always liked rich colors.

    2. Target! I love that store and hate it at the same time. You know that book/movie where the girl lives in a supermarket, I could totally live in a Target store.

    3. Awesome. I'm trapped in the early 90s.

    4. Never. Once my alarm goes off I have to get up or I'll never ready on time.

    5. Nothing! No where to go, no one to see, nothing super important to get done.

  • I'm probably going to suck at this since Amanda usually does it, but here goes:

When you were a kid, which crayon in your box was the most worn-down? Any of the unique colors, like cornflower blue, magenta, gold, copper etc.

From what stores is it impossible for you to emerge empty-handed? Not including the grocery store....Pier 1, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, The Limited, Express...

What word do you use far too frequently? "Really??"

How many times do you hit the snooze button on a typical morning? Actually I don't! Mike gets up before the alarm so I usually jump out of bed the same time he does.

Plans for the weekend? Stayed in Friday, Saturday bought some Christmas decorations and went through all my ornaments & stuff, picked up Amanda & had dinner over my parents. Sunday Mike ran a race (it was COLD!) then we chilled at home the rest of the day.
