Well, that was weird.

I'm doing work at my coffee table in the living room.  The laptop is plugged in, the TV on, and the fish tank lit and powerheads running.  All of a sudden, the power went out, everything off.  I waited a minute to see if it'd go back on - if not, we have battery-run powerheads to keep the water in the tank moving or the fish & corals will die.

Hunter was on his scratching post/platform eating, right next to the tank.

All of a sudden, he jumped straight up & to the left, off the platform, sideways, and to the floor.  He wouldn't come to me or really look at me 'til he was under the kitchen chair staring at me... and then the power came back.

This was all within a matter of seconds.  All I can think is that he got a shock from an outlet?  But the cat thing is made of wood/chipboard and covered in carpet & sisal rope, and the only thing its' really touching is the base of the fish tank, which is also wood.  I know it's not rubber and not a buffer to electricity, but it's not like it's water or metal and really attracts a current, right?
