Office Team

Ok...I've been putting more thought into going to Office Team and applying. I'm thinking after the holidays because I don't want to be between jobs during the holidays.

But I've got to ask, how quickly do they get you a job? I'd like to put in my two weeks at my current job then apply there. Only because there's no way I can work a morning shift job then work night shift here. Right now I'd be happy with anything that pays me more than I make now and trust me...that's not a lot.

Also your opinions of the place. Good? Bad? Anywhere else that's good for office hiring, I have a degree in Medical Office.

Re: Office Team

  • i first contacted them several years ago but ended up staying where i was at that time. Got back on touch with them nearly 3 years ago when jobless but they were not able to place me somewhere because i wasn't really wanting to take a $10-12 an hour job and i eventually found something else. when i found myself jobless yet again they did send me out for an interview but i was way overqualified. finally this past august they contacted me after finding my resume on monster (i was employed but in hell) and they finally had the perfect fit for me...my pay range and then some, in a dept that fonally fits with my education, etc what it really comes down to is what you ate looking for....what are your expectations? i wouldn't quit a job thinking you'll be able to go there tomorrow and find a job. that would be just plain stupid. that said they were great to work with over the years even though they didn't really have much to offer me...until putting me in the job i am in now. which i love!

  • I think it all depends on how much you would want to make and wait for the best opportunity from them. Temp agencies are in the market to make money also, so you just have to make sure where they are placing you is something you are intersted in. It took me some time when I was working w/ them but I told them not to call for anything less then $12 an hr at the time. Also some jobs they have may only be temporary... so I guess it depends on what you are giving up, keep in mind you don't get a benefit package paid holidays etc...
