Weekend Plans?

Not much for me..  Anybody got anything up?

Hopefully (maybe) get some help on kitchen colours, DH's friend is coming down for the weekend so cooking and cleaning for them and me, laundry, making a baby shower cake for Monday, making curtains, working on kitchen cabinets, church, the usual...

Hmmm...  I sure sound domestic.  Oh well, I enjoy it.... except the cleaning part not so much...

The good thing is we had yesterday off for Remembrance Day and we got lots done yesterday.

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • What's Remembrance Day? Kinda like our Veteran's Day?

Today: Work until 5. It has been SO freaking slow that I was able to watch a nearly 2-hour movie and not be interrupted at all. And, it's raining and cold outside, so people are staying away. After work, picking up JJ, going to the Thunder game and going home.

Tomorrow: Tons of errands to run, and I need a new debit card from my home bank. Watching the OSU-Texas game tomorrow night - thought about going to BDubbs to watch the game and the big fight, but I have no one to go with. Sad day - I feel like I'm the only one left here.

Sunday: Relaxing. Hanging out with my mom. Maybe talk to my dad on Skype...we'll see. No big plans.

  • We're supposed to be getting a "winter storm" tomorrow, so that might cancel out any plans I had!

I'm hosting an open house on Sunday, so I'm hoping we don't get too much snow that no one is out and about!

  • Not much.  I *might* be going hiking with my friend Jimmy.  And we're likely going to Queens tomorrow to visit friends - the groomsman & his wife who are expecting a baby in January & got married in July.  I missed her baby shower & have a nice gift for her & the GM wants us to come visit & see their new place.
  • Tonight- Working till 10:30 then hopefully relaxing and catching up on DVR.

Tomorrow- Shopping for new phones! I am so excited to get a smartphone. I feel out of the loop. We are also painting DH's office.

Tomorrow Night- Going to a fund raising dinner for Easter Seals, an organization that helps disabled children. Should be a fancy, fun night.

Sunday- Church and football. And I am going to bake JoVonn's Pumpkin Scones Stick out tongue

    Yep.

Also, I wanted to make the Pumpkin Scones too but printed off the recipe wrong...

  • Today, I had an OB appt, got my oil changed, and ran errands.

Tomorrow, I have more errands to run and I'm going to clean the house. DH comes home at 7 pm tomorrow.

Sunday, DH leaves at noon for his Grandmas funeral and then he's off to to Cali. I'll do some prep work for school after he leaves.

Boring weekend, but hopefully I can get some stuff done. My to do list is stressing me out!

  • Tonight:  Getting stuff done around the house.

Tomorrow:  Driving 5 hours out to DH's parents house to help SIL move.  It's going to be a really long day.  I am really look forward to it being over (sadly enough).

    Sunday: Church & house cleaning.

Is it Thanksgiving break weekend yet?

  • Yesterday was Rod's weekend. He had a guy date with a guy from our Bible study group in the morning, they picked up my super early bday present, since that guy has an SUV (it's a little table and two chairs for the balcony). Then, that guy and his wife watched Nate from about 4-9 pm so Rod and I could go on a hot date!

Tonight I started a batch of rum truffles and a batch of non-alcoholic truffles. This will be continued tomorrow night and finished Sunday night. Right now, I'm trying to think of something to have for dinner. All the leftovers are eaten, and I'm really not in the mood for cooking or a sandwich.

Tomorrow we have a party with a group from church in the afternoon and evening. Nate and I will go, but Rod has to work. He talked about asking for the day off or switching shifts with someone, but didn't get the details worked out in time. But anyway, we're going to have chili. And there's a cold front coming in at this very moment, so it should be nice weather for chili!

We were in teething hell a couple of weeks ago, and it got a bit better recently, but it seems we're on our way back there again. I'm bracing myself for a challenging next few days. Nate's had 4 teeth come in in less than 3 weeks: the top front and center pair came in 3 weeks ago Sunday, and the left of center teeth on top and bottom came in on Wednesday. So the right of center teeth on top and bottom are now working their way in. Maybe they'll both come in this weekend, and we can have a bit of a break before the canines and molars come in? Please?

  • Saturday: Grocery Shopping, house cleaning and maybe a hockey game.

Sunday: Trip to Providence wander around the city and then of course...hockey game.

  • tonight we ran some errands: followed DH around the hardware section of Sears and wrote down what he wanted for his christmas list :) and then we went to kohl's and got a 16-piece bedding set (buying a queen bed for the new house - yay!), a piece of artwork, rugs and hand towels for the half bathroom, and baby's first book - how the grinch stole christmas. all for 5.26! it was power hours, plus i had a 20% off coupon, and we still had $150 in gift cards from the wedding. :):)

when we got home i sorted a huge scentsy order that was delivered.

tomorrow we're starting our baby registry, possibly looking at some furniture, then the penn state game is on at 3:30. i think people are coming over so i need to find time to clean...

saturday i have another vendor fair for scentsy... need to find time to grocery shop and do laundry.

    busy weekend!

  • Late on this...

Yesterday I had my 6 wk postpartum check up and then we went to a birthday party for an acquaintance of DH (with mostly strangers..not my ideal situation but the baby helped the awkwardness). Everyone was really nice. Last night the baby slept for a 5 hour stretch, then a 3 hr stretch, then a 2 hr stretch- it was awesome.

Today we're going to go meet with the babysitter and go over things for Monday, then I'm meeting a friend in town and getting my hair cut and then we're going for coffee. Tonight we have another birthday party, but this one is at a bar so we have a babysitter for May. I'm a little nervous, it's one 15 yr old girl watching May and my two nephews- a 6 month old and 2 1/2 yr old. (My MIL won't even watch all three of them at once.) Luckily we'll be 10 minutes away and I won't be drinking much so I can get back to her if necessary.

Tomorrow we have church and grocery shopping- we don't THINK we have anything else going on but it kind of feels like we do so maybe we'll figure it out by then. Otherwise just getting ready to go back to work Monday.
