I'm Back!!!
And I've never been happier to see Baltimore. 20 of us went on the cruise and although we had a good time, it was a bad trip. The weather was terrible. It rained for 9 days. It was very rough and yesterday we had 35 - 46' seas with 45 mile and hour winds. Absolutely awful. We weren't even aloud to go outside for 2 days. All of the crew said it was the worst they'd ever seen. Everyone said we shouldn't base our opinion of cruises on this experience but I don't think we'll ever go again. Even if the weather had been better, it's just not our thing. We need more time on the island.
But we had fun. Had lots of good laughs and lots of good drinks! We even got about an hour on the beach in the Dominican Republic and about 3 hours on the pool deck Thursday. And it could always be worse. At least we weren't on the Carnival ship! Hope you ladies had a good week. I missed you!

I'm so sorry that it was so awful! Your account just solidifies me and DH's thoughts on how we never want to cruise. We like the AI resort thing way too much to take a chance.
Ditto everyone else! I've never been on a cruise either - I'm intrigued, but like Natalee, may stay on the AI route!
Ummm, yeah. We drink too much. We could have gone to an AI for week on the amount we spent on alcohol and tips. Jamaica for next year's anniversary trip.
Ugh! Sorry that you didn't have the greatest time on your trip! I feel your pain b/c that's how it was when we went to Aruba back in Sept...rain rain rain.
What were your stops on your cruise? I leave for mine on Sunday & I'm really hoping the weather is nice after all the rain we had on our last trip!

It wasn't just the rain. It was really really rough. Like afraid we weren't making it home alive rough. It was really scary and people were getting sick all over the ship. But we're home.
