Wedding Photo Albums

We want to get our parents a nice photo album of our wedding pictures. I wanted to go ahead and get started on this, but wanted to compare sites first (since our photographer doesn't do the leather bound ones). I have purchased a hardcover photo book from Shutterfly and was very impressed with it. I have been looking at the My Publisher books also.

Any recommendations for you gals? I don't want to spend a ton of money, but I don't want something that looks cheap and I know we want leather-bound type books.

TIA!

  • I used Blurb. They sometimes have coupons for 20% off. The quality came out very nice (I upgraded to premium paper) and the photos look really awesome. Our books weren't exactly cheap but I also did an 11"x11" book and had something like more than 50 pgs. We did a book for each of our parents and they were just over $100 each. We didn't mind spending the money because we wanted them to have something really nice.
  • Hmmm...I don't think I have heard of them. I will have to check out their site.

They have a program to download for your computer to build your book. It's has lots of layouts and lets you really make something nice.

  • I've used both shutterfly and mixbook. They are similar but i thought that mixbook had more flexibility with design.
  • I used Blurb for our guestbook (photo book) for our wedding.  It gave you a lot of options but was surprisingly easy to use.  The quality was really amazing and the prices weren't bad at all! I don't think I'll ever use anything else.

  • I've only used Shutterfly and they've always turned out great.
