Anyone interested in doing a cleaning challenge?
I've vowed to get my house in tip-top shape before the new year so that I can start off next year on top of things for once! I'm doing a cleaning challenge on my blog so that I stick to it, but I know it would help if others were doing it along with me (kinda like Weight Watchers, but for cleaning the house 
)
Anyhoo, just thought I'd see if there was any interest around here. I'd love it of you'd join me for encouragement!

Im in. Just tell me what to clean. I need someone to really push me. We should post pictures of what we accomplished after each Tuesday proving we did the deed!
Woot! I'm so glad that you guys want to participate. If no one else was game I would probably let this project fall by the wayside once it wasn't entertaining me anymore!
I'm definitely planning to post before and after pics. I hope others do too and I won't be the only one putting my cluttered, embarassing before pics out into the blogosphere

Hi! I'm newish to this board too. I just logged on because I NEED motivation. I've been sick and my house is really dirty.
I want it to look great for Christmas too...
Please let me know what to do to participate and I cheer you all on.
You don't *have* to have a blog to participate, you can always share your progress in the comments section of the assignment post, but it will be more fun if you do have a blog because then you can (hopefully) share before and after pics with us!
If you click the button in my siggy it'll take you to my blog. I talk about some of what I'm planning to do, but basically starting next Tuesday I'm planning to post a weekly (detailed) cleaning challenge and you will have until the following Tuesday to complete. If you want to get a head start, the challenge for next week is going to be the kitchen. I'm planning on starting officially on Tuesday though so I can get a blog post together with all the details and that sort of thing. This just kind of came to me late last night, so I'm still working out all the plans for it!
When you finish the challenge, you can go back to the original post (with the instructions/assignment) and link to your own blog post detailing your progress and before and after pics (or if you don't have a blog then you can just comment with your progress). I'm hoping that if we all do it together then it will be motivation to dig in and get these things done! Seeing other people's clean homes always motivates me!
I really want to start the new year out with a sparkling home because one of my resoutions is going to be to stay on top of the housework in 2011. I'm trying to establish new habits for myself!

Oooh, craft space! Jealous!
My office err... craft space is currently hard to get to because the room is holding immense amounts of crap. That's on my list of things to clean and organize.
What we really need here is a cleaning fairy. I promise, if the cleaning fairy cleans my house top to bottom I'll keep it clean from now on!

Me, too! I still have old electoronic "junk" around my house I need to recycle. Plus old magazines, I need to go through and recycle tear out what I want, etc. Do you mean the one on the Oprah website?
