Airport full body scanners
My mom has a friend who had breast cancer, and had her breasts removed then got reconstructive surgery. She went through the body scanner at the airport and they detected her implants and made her go to a room where she had to remove her clothes so they could do a pat down of her breasts. She freaked out and had a panic attack (um I would have too). The worst part was that she was flying alone that day.
How much does this suck?! Apparently they told her women in other countries are getting these breast augmentations / surgeries and filling them with drugs, etc. to bring into the country.
I feel like something needs to be done about training and being more selective about hiring as well for the TSA.

Honestly I would rather do that than be blown up on a plane. Sucks we need to go through that but I would rather be safe than sorry.
And as far as the TSA goes, I have a friend trying to get a job with them and there are tons of steps to the process to get a job with them. I am pretty sure they are thorough in their checks.

It would definitely suck to be in her position! But I do also see why these scans are being used.
I do wonder if this is the kind of thing that a person could get a card or something to be able to avoid the pat-down. For example, my dad has artificial knees, which are metal and which could set off the metal detectors. He has a medical card that he can show to TSA officials explaining the situation, and although he will still get wanded, it's not as invasive as it may be if he didn't have the card.

Also..this makes me think that the lines in places like LAX are going to be really really really long when everyone has fake boobies!
So, THAT'S why it always takes forever to get through security at LAX! Lol!!!!!
Oh I definitely think that whatever they need to do to keep us safe would be fine with me. I just cant believe what she went through
Carrie, DH & I were talking about that but wondered if some people (terrorists or whoever) would get those medical cards or forge them. I have no idea about those though.

I could not imagine personally but a couple of months ago I watched some movie on the Independent Movie Station or something like that about a drug dealer in Mexico that was sending girls to America with implants and the implants were loaded with cocaine. Supposedly it was based on a true story. So I can understand them doing that. While it would suck I would rather them be safe than sorry and we get blown up.
