Getting rid of sticker residue inside mug

We got some awesome mugs as a wedding present, but one mug had a product sticker (bar code included) inside the mug, not on the bottom per usual.  I tried scraping with my nails, nail polish remover, and the dishwasher and nothing is working.

Help please!  TIA!

Re: Getting rid of sticker residue inside mug

  • I would use Goo Gone and then run them through the dishwasher before using to make sure the chemicals are gone.
  • yep ~ goo gone or rubbing alcohol would be my top two choices

I wouldn't use goo gone on something you'll drink out of.  Try vegetable or olive oil, peanut butter works sometimes or even try rubbing alcohol if you need to.

The primary ingredient in Goo Gone is orange oil. Works wonders. If the commercial labeling freakes you out, go for the straight orange oil, or just do what I do, use the Goo Gone, and wash it off.
