I've been having a heck of a time finding maternity clothes - pants especially. I hate spending a bunch of money on them because I don't wear them very long and with Reece I was back into my regular clothes pretty quickly - so I'm hoping that happens again!
That said, I need a bunch of clothes this time around because I'm bigger sooner and with R, I didn't really need maternity clothes until almost spring time, which meant I could get capris and stuff, plus I got rid of a lot of what I had because I didn't love it.
I had the 30% off at Gap today, so I ended up getting a pair of black pants, three shirts and two pairs of jammies for R - for $75 (should have been $106). Then, I had a pair of pants that I bought a penny's and didn't really love, so I took them back for a credit of $26. So...really, I got all of that at Gap for ONLY $50 today! Not too bad!
I would still like one more pair of pants, but can get by with what I have for quite a while.
Re: woo hoo!
Our baby girl!!
what Old Navy did you go to? Or did you order online?
I was not impressed with them a few weeks ago. Everything was size Large or XL.
I"ve been buying short sleeved stuff because my classroom is seriously 80 degrees and if I need to, I have some cardigans to wear. There are a few pieces I'd like to have, just to have a more complete wardrobe since I will be getting tired of my clothes by March!
Oh - and Gap does have really good sales on Maternity stuff.
I couldn't fathom spending $80 on a pair of pants..or even $60 for that matter. But I got a pair for $30.
When I did the math, if the items were all full priced, it would have cost me just over $200!
I went to the one on Airport. I actually went Sunday and found a few smalls and mediums. I have been getting mediums in shirts because at both Old Navy and Gap, I have been finding the sleeves to be really tight. I am not sure if that is how it is supposed to be, but I don't like it. I bought everything Sunday, and then went back Thursday, and they took 30% off for me. I liked their selection because it all looked younger. Kohl's and JcPenny both had older looking shirts, and nothing fit me at all. Old Navy had some really nice sweaters in a variety of sizes. Everything else though only had a couple smalls and mediums (if they had them at all).
I loved the Gap too though! I bought the Groupon for there a few months ago and used it to get a couple shirts earlier in my pregnancy. The worst place is Pea in a Pod. There was a sweater there I really loved, but it was $130... There is no way I can justify that under any circumstance ever.

I have found that I can only wear the demi panel stuff from Gap. The no waist stuff from Old Navy just slides down and annoys me. One of the pairs of khakis I have is a full panel and while they fit my belly they are too big everywhere else and make me look like a humpty dumpty because they stick out funny at the crotch if I buy the full panel so they fit in the legs then the panels dig into my belly and are really uncomfy. So I gave up on those.
My big problem with clothing this pregnancy is that my belly is huge and really sticks out, I've outgrown quite a few shirts already and had to buy a few more in a larger size to make it through the rest of this pregnancy. At least most of my sweaters fit from when I was pg with J, if it would just stay sweater weather I would be a lot happier about my clothing selection!
Clothes Mentor is across the street from me.
I wasn't impressed with their selection when I went in last week.
They had lots of jeans - which I don't need (I have 2 pairs, and that's enough since I don't wear jeans to work and wear sweats when I get home at night). Shirt selection was too "tent-ish" for me or it was all really summery. I'll keep checking back, since my body with change as I get further along.
