Irons?

Hello!

I'm new to the nest and would appreciate any advice.

I want to add an iron to our registry so we get the completion discount. We have a really cheap, not that great iron right now but I want to purchase one that is good and will last for a while. Reviews are all over the place for more irons so I thought I would try asking you girls.

What do you use and would you recommend it?

Thanks!

I have a sunbeam from target.  It was the 2nd cheapest one there and I don't have any complaints.

I have a Sunbeam too and it was one of the cheapest at Wal-Mart.  Personally, I wouldn't stress much over an iron.  I'm no expert, but it doesn't do anything "cool" except for get the wrinkles out of your clothes.  Whichever one you picked would probably be fine.

  • Rowenta, no comparison. Once you use one, you'll never own anything else. My mom actually got me mine as my housewarming gift when I first moved out!

The temperature will stay very consistent, no steam sputtering, and it heats up fast (very hot too, if needed).
