Where to order Pie and good bread/rolls

I told Brian to offer up dessert and bread for T-Day at his mom. Any suggestions on where to order one from (I don't bake pies and have no interest in doing so).  There is a new cookie place in the town I work. I was thinking about ordering a couple of dz there since his mom will already have a pumpkin pie.

Any good places for bread or rolls.

Re: Where to order Pie and good bread/rolls

  • I've bought good bread from Wealthy Street Bakery and Nantucket Baking Co. before.  And honestly, I think Meijer has pretty good bread too.
  • Why do good bread?  Won't they have buns?  ;)

Wealthy Street seems to be the place for bread.

As far as pies, I know this awesome independent baker who would be willing to make you an apple cranberry pie for just the cost of ingredients..

I agree with this, and will add to the list the Schnitz Bakery and Van's.

I just almost busted out laughing.  That is why I want to bring good bread/rolls. :)

Brian informed me we are bringing French Silk pie. He never got back to me if I need to order one somewhere or if we are just buying the frozen kind.  Not my concern I guess. :)

  • LMAO @ GRSP! Too funny!

I love Shnitz for bread! It's our favorite! I make a mean chocolate mousse pie that will give any French Silk a run for it's money! I'd be willing to make it and let you take the credit! LOL!

You know what...he couldn't responsed to my email last week about whether we are buying from a bakery or getting a frozen one. so I'm not worried about it. His family...his problem.

     Thanks for the offer though.
