cheap things to do in atlanta for two couples?
So my good friend is flying in town on the 19th and staying for a week. Now of course I wont have all of her time, but she said we should get together a couple of the days she is here and do something. The only problem is that we are both broke! So does anyone know of anything going on that week that could be fun/cheap/free for us to do???
thanks!
Re: cheap things to do in atlanta for two couples?
i think the restaurant weeks are over for most places. Is the apple festival is ellijay still going on?
You could also try: Oakland cemetery (I don't think they charge admission), piedmont park, walking around the L5P and virginia-highlands neighborhoods or decatur. The High Museum and Botanical gardens have admission around $12/15 (not totally cheap, but reasonable).

There is a segment on 11Alive news www.11alive.com, called "Ways to Save" and it varies each week.. gives links/info to discounts or free outings.
If weather permits, you could always climb Stone Mountain and/or Kennesaw Mountain and check out the museum there..
