What are you making for Thanksgiving? Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, butternut squash casserole, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie and apple pie-lettes. Can you tell we're hosting?

Do you go shopping on Black Friday? We usually go to the outlets about 4pm and it's pratically empty.

Football On or Off during the meal? off, MIL is very strict with this anytime for dinner.. no matter what was on it goes off and she puts on music of some sort.
What time do you eat? honestly i don't remember what time we eat.. i want to say around 5 or so.
Do you carve the turkey at the table or before the meal? we do buffet style because there are too many people(about 20ish) to try to pass.
What are you making for Thanksgiving? I'm making 2 pies and Dh is making 1 as well.
Do you watch the Macy's Parade? YES!!! though I've taken to dvring it and sleeping in a bit then skipping through commercials and stuff I don't really care to watch.
Do you go shopping on Black Friday? Yes/No We don't do the butt crack of dawn shopping. But my family likes to go out and window shop that weekend. But if there is some amazing deal I would consider it since DH's cousins go an it would be fun to go too. I'm sure once we have kids it might become a necessity for those really good toy deals.

* When i was in elementary school, i *never* did my homework. I'd get in trouble for it every year, and by October, the punishment would be handed down: No TV for the rest of the school year. The only exception my parents would make was the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

What are you making for Thanksgiving? It will be just Jim and I eating so... roasted turkey breast, gravy, mashed sweet potatoes with cinnamon butter, homemade bread, green beans, and pumpkin pie with real whip cream for dessert. Duncan will be having oatmeal with sweet potatoes mixed in and maybe some applesause!
Do you watch the Macy's Parade? sometimes...depends on how much I have to do cooking, but now with Dunc... who knows.
Do you go shopping on Black Friday? HECK NO! I prefer Cyber Monday. I'm not a large crowd person even at the grocery store so there is no way I could handle the stores.
POOKS!! Did you know my dad was the Santa for the America's thanksgiving parade for about 5 years?!?! 1993-1998!!! He would leave on Tuesday afternoon from home and we'd all climb in the car Wednesday night after getting out of school and drive to Novi to stay with my aunt and uncle. Then we'd get up at the crack of dawn and drive into Detroit and stake our our spot! After the parade we'd wait for my dad to arrive and then have dinner with our relatives. I haven't thought of that parade in years....
