Odd timing

It's odd to me that Jessica Simpson got engaged after dating for 5 months the same week her ex-husband got engaged. It might be totally kosher but it just feels like funny timing. She was saying a few days ago that it's hard to hear Nick's news and then voila she is engaged too! *shrugs*

I look back and laugh that I was SO excited to give my sister Newlyweds on DVD for Christmas a few years ago :-)

It is sad to say that I haven't kept up on my celebrity gossip like I have in the past so I don't know much about the engagement other then I saw it scroll across the screen last night on E! when I was watching Kendra (I know, I know)...If Nick did get engaged then I do think it is really fishy...talk about competitive much...can't let her ex have the limelight for one minute.

Her fiance claims it was just a coincidence, but I don't know.... They have only been together for 5 months, and then a week later. Who knows...we'll see if the wedding (Jessica and Eric's) actually happens!

My instincts are telling me it won't.

I would bet money that she heard they were engaged and told her man that she wanted to be engaged. I bet they will call it off before they even set a date. I feel bad for her because she probably would've made different decisions with her marriage to Nick knowing how things turned out now.

I thought it was odd timing too. I've had a hard time getting over the Nick/Jessica breakup. Smile

She totally made her boyfriend propose because Nick and Vanessa got engaged. She probably didn't have to do much convincing, though, as he seems to be a gold digger.

Yeah, totally. He's got it made as long as he's with her. I just hope she's smart enough to get a pre-nup if they do actually get married.

I heard on the radio this morning that she said she is not planning on it. I'm sure there is not way in h#ll her crazy dad is going to let that fly!
