f/u on mom

I took the advice and decided to go be with my mom before her surgery. However, my body had other plans for me. I was sick all weekend including a lovely fever that did not break until 8 this morning. So I didn't get to see her after all.

My dad called and he was in the best mood. The dr. said he was very pleased with how the surgery went; that if she had it three years ago she would have a longer harder recovery. Mom is in a splint for a week and a half (longer than what they had first told her, but at least she will have it taken off in time to go spend Thanksgiving in Dallas).

Mom is feeling fine. Dad is afraid that once the nerve block (which she said hurt like the devil) wears off that she might get sick then. I told him that I didn't when my nerve block wore off after my surgery. So we shall see.

I will be picking up my puppy and heading over there this evening to stay with her. Thanks to all you ladies that said a prayer for her! I really do appreciate it.

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven. - Ecc. 3:1 <a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="D
