WWYD school related

So obviously my professors have said to take my time and turn things in whenever. However I'm thinking that maybe working on my last 2 projects will really help me take my mind off things. Should I just try to get it down and turn it in on time? Or take my time and the incomplete and work on it over the break?

Re: WWYD school related

  • It's really a personal decision, but I agree that it would help you take your mind off things. I'd say, start working, and see how you feel... if it helps you get through the days faster, then keep working and turn your projects in on time... if you feel too much pressure, then take a break. :)

  • PS. Good morning! I'm not usually on this early on a Sunday morning but I couldn't sleep. Need to get ready for church now though.

  • Are they projects you can start but then put on hold if it gets to be too much?  If you can, I would say start one of them and see how it goes...the worse case scenario is that you end up taking a break and take the incomplete and finish it over break. The best case scenario is that it takes your mind off things for a little while, keeps you busy, and you get them finished.

Good luck hun!  Still sending hugs your way!

  • I agree - that is a personal choice! I think, in your shoes, I'd also want something to keep me busy.
  • I second Ringy. Go ahead and start and see how you feel. It may be helpful right now.

  • I mean the reality is I could get both of the projects done in about 2 days. I've already done all the research it's just putting them together so I feel like a lazy ass if I don't finish them ya know?

  • Well, it sounds like you're ready to get them done. For me, it would be the feeling that I had something hanging over my head that would drive me crazy.
  • I agree with what ringy suggested.  Start and see how it goes.  Maybe aim to get one of the projects done on time and if they both get done, then, well, bonus!

  • Working on the projects might help occupy your time and give you some sense of normalcy.  It is a very personal choice.  If it were me, I would start off and see how I was feeling.

This is probably what I would try to do, too.

  • I agree with ringy as well. Go ahead and start on them, if you're feeling up to it, and see how it goes and take it from there.
  • I'm all late on this but I agree with ringy. If it helps you get through the day faster I would go head and work on them. If not just take your time and work on it as soon as you feel you can start on them again.

  • I am chiming in late but I want to say:

    1. Your memorial service/eulogy was touching.

    2. Do what you feel comfortable with. If you get it done great, if not you always have that option to do it later.
