In the "never have I ever post" I was hating on skiing and how I've never been even tough DH is making a career out of working in the industry.
So just now he called me and told me that not only does he get a free ski pass with his new job, but I do too.
And free lessons.
All we need is a copy of our marriage license, which is filled away in North Carolina. Also, DH can't get his pass without it, even if I don't want to take advantage of the pass for myself.
Re: Oh the irony...
That IS pretty ironic! I think you should do it, at least. I'm curious though--why he has to show his MARRIAGE license, of all proofs of ID to receive his pass? I could (maybe) understand if YOU had to show your license, but him?
Honestly, I only ski once a year with my DH when we go up to parents house in the Berkshires in MA. FIL taught me how to ski in one day and I love it. My technique is neither good nor bad (since I only ski one day a year can you really judge it?) but I do well enough to ski their entire local ski area. You know the old 90's saying "No Fear"? That's the approach you need to take with it.
When I get cold, I go inside, get some hot chocolate, take a nap while they finish their day and call it a year. It's a day I always look forward to.
Yeah, derky, I don't really understand it either. I can see why they need the license for me since I'm the spouse and not an employee, but it's strange that they need it for him too. Whatever.
Maybe I'll get a pass and take some lessons. I never did it back in NC b/c I never had a deal like this. I'm going to need the exercise for sure b/c I could run between snow storms in NC, but I don't really think that's an option here.
