Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

What's going on with the points?
Not that they real mean anything but has anyone elses point totals gone bezerk? Not sure how I'm a silver poster, but have 250 points....
My pointless points have disappeared... boo....

I didn't even notice till I read this. I wonder if this is why TN sucked for me for a couple days and I kept getting error messages.
Oh no! Now I can't one-star the people I don't like :P My life is ruined...
The points thing make no sense --- how can you have fewer points than posts?

Found this while lurking on the bump.
why they reset the points
Someone asked on the mod board on the nest:
"We had to reset them on friday due to the server errors. "
I still don't get where the accumulate from though. Or if there is even a system on how you gain points.
Maybe someone just sits behind a computer and clicks on names? Here's some points for you, and you, none for you, but some for you! haha

I think this is exactly what they do.. I somehow have more points than anyone else in the post, yet have the fewest number of posts. I was going to say maybe they decrease with post count. But then the gold posters have points but Dana, a silver, doesn't SOOOO weird!
