Just make sure to coat the pans with enough spray and flour so that the cake comes out easily. I saw one pic of someone who made it and it didn't look like anything but a huge mess. LOL
You can also out "filling" in the middle and make a jelly doughnut. Or a Boston Creme Doughnut. That's what D wants next time.

Do you take orders? I have a birthday coming up and I'd pay top dollar for a donut cake!!
On a side note, this cake just made me binge eat some donuts. I'm re-reading all the Stephanie Plum books and she constantly talks about donuts so I caved to my cravings yesterday and bought a ton. yummo
I do the same thing with those books. And books by Joanne Fluke... she includes recipes in hers and reading the books makes me hungry.
