Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

I think I'm in love.

Seriously, is there anything these won't clean? I even got a scuff mark off my car with it!

Damn Pictures, Images and Photos
I've got more issues than a magazine

Re: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

  • They are miracle workers!!
  • Agreed!  It is so helpful!
  • I use it on everything!

  • Do you think it has harsh chemicals in it?  I have always wondered what the magical ingredient could be.
  • I have thought that  too....because it does clean so well. But it also takes off a few layers (at least I have noticed that on my walls)

It cleaned stains on my tub when I had tried everything, and on the laminate flooring. I usually re-wash with soap and water afterward, just in case there is some kind of chemical that I don't want staying around!

  • The bathroom one works wonders on soap scum!

No, not chemicals.  The secret behind these types of erasers is a material commonly called melamine foam that work with a little water.  When melamine resin gets wet, it cures into foam, and its microstructure becomes very hard -- almost as hard as glass -- and it acts like a super-fine sandpaper.  So it scrapes at stains with extremely hard microfilaments.  This is why it is not advised to use it on certain surfaces, and that you try it on a test spot first.

Okay, so I sound like a science nerd.  I like to know how things work! =)
