Cute Christmas Stockings

Does anyone have cute Christmas stockings that you bought recently (last year or this year)? DH and I have no Christmas decorations so we're starting from scratch.  I kinda like these from Ballard Designs but I can't figure out the leopard print at the top....and I'm not CRAZY about the little white dangly balls but could probably deal with them...http://www.ballarddesigns.com/personalized-ballard-christmas-stockings/accessories/stockings-treeskirts/10274

I already looked at Target and wasn't too thrilled, but I haven't looked anywhere else yet.  Just getting started! Now I'm searching on Etsy & I can't stop!

Re: Cute Christmas Stockings

  • We bought really traditional ones from Pottery Barn!
  • I think we may have the same ones as Megan.

I bought them two years ago on SALE with free monogramming and free shipping.

It was a pretty sweet deal

  • Oh yeah....I looked at those online last night.  If I decide to go the traditional route, I'll probably go with those.

  • I love the poka dots! I don't like the leapord print though, why would they even put that on there?

We bought regular red and white stockings last year, I'm thinking at Walmart. I'm going to get some fabric paint and write our names on them.

  • I bought the small "pointy" toe PB stockings for our dogs and got monagramming for free :) I got mine and DH's stockings from Grandin Road but they don't seem to have the same ones online this year.

  • We just have mini ones that I got three for a buck at Rite-Aid years ago (back when Rite-Aid was Eckerd!). I printed out our names-- "Matt," "Kelly," and "Gulliver"-- on the printer, cut them out, and stuck them to the top of the stockings with double-sided tape. I used to tack them up on the wall above where I always kept a candle.

I don't know what we're going to do this year. We have a banister now, so maybe it's time to get big stockings...

  • The ones I hang mine is from my moms house and was hung there for every year since I was 7. When the kids came my mom made them each one. Then mom made one for Bernie now as well so we all have matching ones but NOTHING gets put in them. Silly I know.

I have thought of making quilted ones for christmas this year. I dunno

Jackie, Jessica, & Joanna have 101 Dalmations Stockings Bernie and I have the traditional Velvet with white fur top to actually stuff full of goodies.
  • My stocking is the same one I've used since I was born.  My grandmother used to crochet stockings for everyone before she passed away.  It's red with white fuzzy yarn at the top and has my name crocheted on it.  Luckily, my mom knows how to make them, so she can continue on with the tradition.  I need her to make one for Adam.

  • when we were little my mom had the traditional type stockings for us in red and white and she used glitter and glue to write our names and I always loved them.  She has now since gotten these fancy embrodiered ones but I've always loved the old ones.  I made those old ones for Jay and I last year, just reminds me of being a kid
