Re: Whats for dinner tonight
Tonight is just me. I will just eat some leftovers that are in the freezer.
Tuesday, Mahi Mahi with linguine and salad
Wednesday, Beef and snow pea stir fry from the pioneer woman
Thursday, just me again, so I'll figure something out.
Friday, take out sandwiches or something
Saturday, I am doing Thanksgiving for Friends at our apartment, so there will be lots of thanksgiving food! (First married dinner party!!!)
Ugh...the dreaded question..
Tonight I am at my work apartment so I am on my own. I will probably get fast food.
Tomorrow I will be back at home. It all depends on what time I get home
Wednesday I don't work so we have a gift certificate to a local restaurant so I think we are going there.
Thursday back to my work apartment so on my own again and back to something quick.
Friday I made a deal with DH. Last weekend we went out with friends and I was his DD so he could drink. In return, we are going out for pumpkin pancakes (my fav). This will be our night.
Saturday- DH leaves to go out of town so I am on my own again for another 5 days.
Nothing exciting. Is it any wonder I can't lose weight?
Tonight is turkey burgers
The rest of the week (in no particular order): lemon blueberry waffles, white chicken chili, and another night of turkey burgers.
I usually cook 2-3 times per week and we do leftovers or freezer food on other nights. It's kind of hard to buy groceries for just 2 without wasting a lot of food.
Tonight we're eating spaghetti with tomato sauce and bread. H makes a big batch of sauce and then we freeze it, so on weekdays I can just pull one out and use it
I also thawed some sausage to add to it.
Tuesday - Green bean casserole (homemade with fresh green beans and a mushroom sauce from Alton Brown on foodnetwork). I know it's almost thanksgiving, but I was really craving it! I'll probably add some cut up chicken breast to it to bulk it up a little.
Wednesday - Butternut squash soup, with grilled cheese (made with Brie and apples)
Thursday - We're eating at a friend's house.
Friday - On Fridays I never feel like cooking, so we just grab something out or eat something left around the house.
DH is making Julia Child's recipe for mussles tonight, tomorrow will be Lemony Shrimp with white beans & couscous, vegetarian chili & who knows what else...
I love food blogs! Pioneer Woman is my favorite right now.
Today - I didn't make it to the grocery store so we are having ham and cheese paninis
Tue - Grilled Chicken with Lemon Basil Pasta
Wed - Ribeye w/ Onion - Blue Cheese Sauce and Mashed potatoes
Thu- Tequila Lime Chicken with Mexican rice
Friday - going out with friends

Tonight we did a bad and got Rally's to go.
For the rest of the week, we'll probably have Red Beans and Rice, Shrimp and Grits, some sort of casserole (in fact, I'm seriously craving greenbean casserole, so we may have that! Thanks MollySm!), hamburgers, and broiled tilapia.
We always have either salads or cut up vegetables as a side. It's cheap.
Do the creep.
Damn, girl! You're eatin' goooooood!
Nothing fancy for us tonight, just buttered noodles. DH and I are feeling a bit under the weather, and it just sounded so good.
No problem!
We should definitely do this kind of post every week! Sometimes it's so hard to come up with ideas for meals for the week. I'm loving seeing what you girls are making!
I always start by going through a few of my favorite cookbooks and picking out a few recipes that we want to try. Also, I love kraftrecipes.com and they have weekly emails with dinner ideas. Kraft is my go to site for recipes because they are usually pretty simple and have common ingredients. DH and I aren't really gourmet food people (unless it's a special occasion) so simple definitely works for us.
I agree!
